Beef Tenderloin

This recipe is for a special family occasion or a holiday! A family favorite in this household.


Ingredients

6lb Beef Tenderloin

1/2c Sherry

1/4c Soy Sauce

2T Brown Sugar

2T Water

2T Onion Soup Mix


Directions

  1. Combine sauce ingredients and set aside. Place tenderloin in a plastic bag and pour marinade over. Let stand at room temperature 2 hours or overnight in the fridge. Turn the bag occasionally.

  2. Set oven temperature to 425.

  3. Remove meat and place in a shallow cooking pan. Baste with half the marinade.

  4. Bake 45 minutes. Near the end, in a small pot heat up the remaining marinade.

  5. Slice meat and spoon sauce over slices or place in a gravy boat.


2lbs - 6-8 servings

5 lbs - 10-12 servings - double recipe
