Classic French Onion Soup

Worth making your house smell like onions for a day!


Ingredients

4T Oil

2T Butter

3-4 Onions (red and yellow)

4c Beef Broth

2t Thyme

1/4t Sugar

Salt & Pepper

Crispy Bread

Cheese


Directions

  1. Start with oil and butter in a large pot. Cook down onions for 15-20 minutes - stir frequently so they don't burn.

  2. Add beef broth and spices. Let this cook another 15-20 minutes and serve with fresh bread and cheese.

*Makes 4 servings
