Go To Green Beans

The key to these green beans is blanching them so they keep their color! & the almonds add a great flavor layer.

Ingredients

1/2lb Green Beans

1T Olive Oil

1T Butter (plant based)

1/2c Chopped Almonds

1T Garlic Cloves, minced

1T Lemon Juice


Directions

  1. Blanch the green beans. Place green beans in a boiling pot of water until cooked. About 5 minutes. Drain.

  2. In the same pot, add oil and butter. Throw in chopped almonds and when they are starting to become golden brown, add garlic. Cook about 2 minutes.

  3. Add lemon juice and cook another minute until mixed. Put green beans back into the sauce or pour the sauce over green beans in a serving bowl.

  4. Add more butter or oil as needed!

*Makes 4 servings
