Homemade Pizza Sauce & Dough

A fun weekend treat!


Ingredients

Sauce:

8oz tomato paste

15oz tomato sauce

1-2T oregano

1/2t garlic powder

1/2t onion powder

Salt & Pepper


Dough (makes 2 pizzas)

2c Flour

1c Lukewarm Water

1t Salt

1T Olive Oil

3/4t Yeast


Directions

Sauce

  1. Mix ingredients in a sauce pan to warm. You can freeze in bags for easy reheating.

Dough

  1. If you have a bread maker, place all ingredients in it and set it to the dough setting.

  2. If you are doing this by hand: combine flour and salt in a bowl.

  3. Add lukewarm water, the oil and yeast. Knead with your hands until combined (a few minutes). Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes. Knead dough again for a few minutes.

  4. Cut into 2 pieces and form a ball. On a floured surface cover with a damp cloth and leave for 3-4 hours or in a refrigerator for 8-24 hours. Just take it out 30-45 minutes before you want to cook it.
