Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

You only need three ingredients, an oven and some time - no smoker needed. These will be done in a few hours and reheat well! Enjoy these with a side of homemade Mac and cheese and coleslaw.



Ingredients

BBQ Rub

BBQ Sauce

2T Liquid Smoke

Ribs (of your choice)


Homemade Texas Style BBQ Rub

4t Salt

4T Onion Powder

4T Garlic Powder

1/4c Brown Sugar

4t Adobo Chili Powder

1/4t Cayenne

2t Black Pepper


Directions

  1. Set oven temp to 275. If you can, take the membrane off of the back side of the ribs, makes them more tender. Mix spices and set aside.

  2. Rub the ribs with liquid smoke first then rub with spices, back side too!

  3. Cover ribs with foil and cook for 3 hours. For the 4th hour, uncover the ribs and spread a layer of your favorite BBQ sauce on top. You may cook the ribs longer if needed (plan for 5 hours in case). Broil the last few minutes so the BBQ sauce caramelizes a bit.
