Sweet and Tangy Chuck Beef

This recipe is for the crock pot and pulls the beef, which is great for sandwiches or over mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

3 pound Chuck Roast

1c Ketchup

1/4c Beef Broth

1T Dijon Mustard

2-3t Worchestershire

1/2t Garlic Powder

1 Bay Leaf

Fresh Thyme

Salt & Pepper

2T Cornstarch with water


Directions

  1. Place all sauce ingredients (except the cornstarch) in a crock pot. Add chuck beef.

  2. Check back in now and again to make sure the beef is breaking apart and covered by sauce.

  3. Cook on high for 5-6 Hours. The last hour, add cornstarch with water and mix. This will thicken the sauce.

  4. Serve on a bun or with mashed potatoes.

*Serves 5 people
