Teriyaki Chicken Pineapple Bowl

Adding pineapple to your teriyaki bowl is a sweet way to add some flavor, oh, and a great serving dish! I used a homemade teriyaki sauce, but you can use store bought as well. I am using non breaded chicken for this recipe.

Ingredients

Sauce:

3/4c Soy Sauce

1/2c Brown Sugar

2T Garlic Cloves

1T Ginger, Grated

3T water mixed with 2T cornstarch

Meal:

1 Pineapple (canned if you don't want to use the fruit as a bowl), cut in half and cored

3 Chicken Breasts, cut into small pieces

2T Oil, sesame if you have

1c Uncooked Rice

Directions

  1. Prep: Make sauce and set aside. Cut pineapple in half, core it and cut fruit into small pieces. Cut chicken breast into small pieces.

  2. Add rice to a boiling pot of water and cook as instructed on packaging

  3. Place oil in pan on medium heat. Put chicken in pan until cooked - about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sauce and pineapples to pan. Cook 5 minutes longer until the sauce has become thick.

  4. Assemble: Place rice in pineapple bowl, add chicken and top with sesame seeds.

*Makes 3 servings
